The harvest is controlled by the government and each section can be harvested just once every three years. The distillation season coincides with the blooming of the plants in the spring. The rosemary is distilled fresh or even slightly dried. The distillation units are fueled by the spent rosemary from previous distillations which promotes sustainability.
• ROSEMARY ESSENTIAL OIL - The essential oil derived from Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) is recognized for its robust, herbaceous scent and its versatility in numerous uses. The name "Rosemary" reflects its natural habitat; the Latin term "ros" translates to "dew," while "marinus" means "sea." Its silver-green, needle-shaped foliage is frequently moistened by sea mists coming from the Mediterranean region.
